🦠 One book, fifteen chapters. The first half builds the microbes themselves. Then come control and drugs, then immunity, then a tour of infection by body system. Every chapter carries six interactives, real figures, a glossary and a quiz.
The Book
15 chaptersThe whole course, with figures, tables, a glossary and a quiz in every chapter.
Interactive Lab
90 lessonsSix working models per chapter. Set the controls and watch the result change.
Flashcards

Microbe Match
GameA quest across all fifteen chapters. Clear a challenge to open the next map.
Pick any chapter to start reading. Its six interactives are built into the page, and you can open each one on its own from the lab.
The Microbial World and Why It Matters
Who the microbes are, and when one of them turns into trouble.
Microscopy, Staining & the Microbiology Lab
How the lab makes a germ visible and gives it a name.
Prokaryotic vs Eukaryotic Cells
The two ways a cell can be built, inside and out.
Bacterial Diversity & Classification
Sorting bacteria by shape, by stain and by the tests they pass.
Viruses, Fungi & Parasites
The agents that are not bacteria at all.
Microbial Growth & Metabolism
What microbes eat, and what lets them grow.
Microbial Genetics & How Resistance Spreads

Controlling Microbes — Sterilization, Disinfection & Asepsis
Ways to kill microbes, and how clean each one leaves a surface.
Antimicrobial Drugs
What the drugs hit, and why some of them stop working.
How Microbes Cause Disease
The tools a microbe uses to get in and do harm.
Infection & Epidemiology
How infection travels, and how an outbreak is counted.

The defenses you are born with, ready in minutes.
Adaptive Immunity & Immunization
The defense that learns, remembers and can be trained.
Immune Disorders
When the immune system goes too far, or falls short.
Infectious Diseases by Body System
The usual causes of infection, region by region.
Each exam covers three chapters. Read its guide first, then drill the matching questions in the bank.
📚 New here? How to work through a chapter›
Each part of this library covers the same microbiology a different way. Mix them however suits you.
- Read the chapter in The Book. Stop at each interactive and actually move the controls.
- Work the quiz at the end of the chapter before you look at any answer.
- Run that chapter's deck in Flashcards until the reasons come as easily as the answers.
- Before an exam, read its Study Guide and say each table out loud from memory.
- Finish with the Exam Bank and a round of The Chase. Read every reason, even when you were right.
Names are the hard part here, and names stick through use, not through staring. Come back to an interactive a day later and try to predict what it will do before you touch it.
