Anxiety, OCD, or PTSD?

The DSM-5-TR puts these into three separate families: anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, and trauma- and stressor-related disorders. Yet anxiety runs through all three. Read about each person and pick the family the pattern fits best. The mind map shows where each one pulls attention: ahead to the future, around a loop, or back to the past. The people here are made up. Real diagnosis takes a trained clinician.

Where is the mind pulled?

A mind sits at NOW. Your answer shows where the pattern pulls it: ahead to the future, around a loop, or back to the past.
Sort each patterntap an answer to begin
Quick frame: Anxiety looks to the future ("what if?"). OCD is stuck in a loop in the present (obsession → compulsion → brief relief). PTSD is pulled to the past (reliving a trauma). This is a study shortcut, not a hard rule, but it sorts most cases fast.
