A refusal has a reliable shape: acknowledge, decide, explain, offer, leave the door open. Build one line at a time — or leave a move out and watch what breaks. Tone is inferred rather than transmitted, so the panel on the right reports what a tired reader hears, not what you meant.
Framing controls emphasis, not truth. Positive framing must never be used to obscure a refusal or soften a fact the reader needs. If the answer is no, the word no appears somewhere.
