Intraoperative Chain Reactions

The anaesthetised patient cannot speak, shiver appropriately, reposition or object — so the nurse has to see the cascade coming from the mechanism alone. Advance each chain one step at a time and watch which signs light up, in the order they really appear. The point of every chain here is the same: the first sign is almost never the dramatic one.
