Statistics · Module 6 · Sampling distributions and the Central Limit Theorem

Central Limit Theorem Lab

Pick any population shape and sample size, draw thousands of samples and watch the sampling distribution build under a theoretical normal curve. Then solve unlimited problems with worked solutions, race the clock in SE Sprint, and use the CLT on real-life cases. Nothing here is graded.

Part 1: Sampling Explorer

Top: the population and your latest sample. Bottom: a histogram of all your sample means, with the normal curve the CLT predicts.

Samples are drawn at random with replacement, so every visit gives slightly different histograms. Changing the shape, n or p clears the samples, because the sampling distribution changes.
