Blood, Lymph and Immunity Lab

Change a blood count and watch the tube, smear and skin respond, drill word parts at three levels, race the clock matching roots to meanings, and reason through real life scenarios with fictional adults. Nothing here is graded.

Part 1: CBC Explorer

Move the sliders and watch the tube, the smear and the skin change. The findings panel names what you made.

Teaching model with approximate adult reference ranges: hematocrit 36 to 50%, MCV 80 to 100 fL, MCHC 32 to 36 g/dL, WBC 4.5 to 11.0 thousand per µL, platelets 150 to 400 thousand per µL. Real ranges vary by lab, age and sex. Petechiae are shown below about 50 thousand platelets as a teaching simplification.
