Move a CD4 count and viral load and watch the stage, risks and prophylaxis change, practice unlimited items with hints, race the clock to match reactions, antibodies and drugs, and reason through bedside cases with fictional adults. Nothing here is graded.

Part 1: CD4 and Viral Load Explorer

Your jobChange one patient's CD4 count, CD4 percentage and viral load, and switch treatment and illness on or off. Watch the blood sample, the CD4 ladder and the readouts respond, then complete the challenges on the right. Thresholds follow the course text.

How the model works: AIDS is diagnosed when CD4 is below 200 cells/mm³, CD4 percentage is below 14, or an AIDS-defining illness occurs, and it does not revert later. Prophylaxis: trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole below 200 (Pneumocystis; it also covers toxoplasma below 100 if toxoplasma IgG is positive); below 50, azithromycin weekly for MAC only if ART cannot start promptly, plus dilated eye exams. Undetectable means fewer than 50 copies/mL here (labs report 20 to 50).
