Gastrointestinal Disorders Lab

Run a GI bleed and watch vital signs, labs and stool change, practice with unlimited questions at three levels, race the clock sorting GI findings, and work through ward scenarios with fictional patients. Nothing here is graded.

Part 1: GI Bleed Explorer

Teaching modelA 70 kg adult with about 5,000 mL of blood and a starting hemoglobin of 14 g/dL. The numbers are simplified to show the patterns in the chapter (the first hemoglobin lies, BUN rises with upper bleeds, perfusion fails as volume falls). Real patients vary widely.

Change the bleed and the treatment, and watch the monitor, the labs and the stool respond.
