Diagrams are simplified and not to scale. The joints are original simplified drawings: bones are drawn as smooth shapes, several joints are shown as flat 2D sections, the knee is shown rolling around one fixed point, and only a few ligaments of each joint are drawn. Disorder and aging animations are sped up (they take years in real life), and the range-of-motion chart in the aging step is illustrative, not real data. The wooden figure and 3D joint models are the same ones used in the Joints Lab.
