The Evidence Ledger

Self-esteem is a slow, global feeling. Self-efficacy is a fast, task-specific judgment that feeds on evidence. Spend eight weeks picking one thing to do about your confidence — the two meters respond very differently, and the ledger tells you why after every choice.
Week 1 of 8

Choose one thing to do this week

Your two meters

Self-efficacy for a five-minute graded speech22±0
Self-esteem global — how you feel about you41±0
The self-statement your evidence can support
“I’m just not a confident person.”
A global trait claim. Nothing to practise, nothing to disprove. It will stay this way until the log has something in it.

The ledger

Empty. Efficacy beliefs draw on this list in week twelve, so what goes in here matters more than how the week felt.
