The Sodium–Potassium Balance

Sodium and potassium are both essential — nerves fire and cells hold their volume because of the gradient between them, and neither is a villain. What feeding trials and population studies keep pointing to is not either mineral alone but the ratio between them. Move the two sliders and watch the balance tip and the illustrative blood-pressure gauge respond.
