The Hour That Counts

Puerperal infection is arithmetic under time pressure. Two of the sepsis bundle steps are weight-based, and weight-based dosing is where a slip of a decimal becomes patient harm — so show your work every time. Compute the dose and have it checked, run the first hour against a clock that does not stop, then triage the postpartum fever by the day it appeared.

Do the work

The unit selector is not decoration. A weight charted in pounds and used as if it were kilograms is one of the commonest medication errors in any unit, and it always errs upward.

Pick an order and a weight. The working will appear here line by line, exactly as it should appear in the notes.
No calculation yet
Two independent checks, one calculation each, written down — and every computed dose confirmed against the maximum recommended dose before it is given.
