Baumrind's Four Parenting Styles

Diana Baumrind found that parenting varies along two independent dimensions: demandingness (control and maturity expectations) and responsiveness (warmth and acceptance). Cross the two and you get four styles — each with a different outcome for the child. Drag the two sliders to move through the grid, or tap a style to jump to it.
